Aashish Shahani

Aashish Shahani is a seasoned engineering leader and subject matter expert with over 25 years of experience in mission-critical design, construction oversight, and program management for hyperscale and colocation data centers. As Director of Data Center Design at Crane, he leads the full lifecycle of design and engineering across Crane’s portfolio, driving technical excellence, scalability, and sustainability in every build.

Prior to joining Crane, Aashish served as Vice President of Engineering at Ace Consultants, where he was a trusted advisor to engineering firms, Fortune 500 clients, and global hyperscalers. He directed multidisciplinary teams of engineers and project managers in delivering over 600+ MW of hyperscale and colocation data center capacity across North America. His engineering leadership spanned concept design through commissioning, emphasizing repeatable prototypical designs, design innovation, and operational efficiency.

With deep expertise across various data center designs, HV/MV power systems, and advanced cooling technologies, Aashish is regarded for his ability to translate complex technical challenges into efficient, repeatable, and sustainable design solutions. His experience also includes renewable energy initiatives, utility-scale infrastructure design, and large-scale major public projects that reflect his broad technical and regulatory acumen.

A licensed Professional Engineer and NABCEP-certified solar engineer, Aashish brings deep technical knowledge in power distribution, sustainability, and design optimization. He holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from RKNEC College and a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Union College.
