Lance Mobley is a proven development leader with over 25 years of experience overseeing the full lifecycle of complex infrastructure, real estate, and renewable energy ventures. As Director of Site Acquisition at Crane, Lance leads the company's strategic expansion by identifying and securing the mission-critical land and power assets necessary for next-generation data center development.
Before joining Crane, Lance served as Vice President of Project Development at Idemitsu Renewables, where he directed utility-scale solar and BESS development activities across the United States. As a key member of the Technical Investment Committee, he managed risk and delivered critical analysis for large-scale energy investments. His career also includes development roles at SunPower Corporation and Pristine Sun, where he managed greenfield site origination and land acquisition for utility-scale power plants within the WECC market. He oversaw the full lifecycle of project development entitlements, including transmission interconnection and local, state, and federal permitting, from initial site control through construction.
Lance holds a B.A. in Geography from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Outside of work, he is an active community volunteer - coaching mountain biking and serving on local non-profit boards. He enjoys cycling, snowboarding, and traveling with his family.
